SUMMARY

The Shopper Marketing Client Support Specialist working autonomously, regularly exercising independent judgment and discretion with limited supervision is responsible for ensuring client business objectives and schedules are met through proactive planning and thorough project management, thus ensuring an exceptional client experience. Incumbent is the primary point of contact for assigned clients and provides day-to-day client relationship management. The incumbent autonomously provides answers and solutions for questions, problems and requests raised by clients, establishes and maintains good relationships with all concerned parties and seeks new business opportunities for Vestcom with all groups and departments within the client account.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:The Shopper Marketing Client Support Specialist will own and independently manage all assigned duties relating to client needs. The revenue responsibility for this incumbent is approximately $6MM+. The incumbent is responsible for managing one or more client accounts. Provides administrative support to SM Group Sales Director (s) and SM Account Manager (s) as needed. Serves as the “face” of the company as the primary day-to-day relationship manager between assigned clients and Vestcom. Works closely with Vestcom's client service, programming, IT and production teams across all Vestcom solutions and client deliverables. Builds relationships with process owners across all functional areas between client and Vestcom. Communicates effectively, plans, organizes and manages multiple projects in a timely manner. Manages project timelines to completion with internal and external cross functional team member; establish and communicate clear and realistic expectations. Insure all deliverables to client are error-free. Evaluate and independently determine when to elevate concerns and provide recommended resolutions to Vestcom management in a timely manner. Use independent decision-making to determine, identify and research inefficiencies and inaccuracies in business processes and provide recommendations and best practices to both client and Vestcom. Measure performance against process requirements, service level agreements and/or quality goals. Ability to proactively identify and develop business solutions to address client needs by bringing in appropriate Vestcom partners. Provide client guidance related to business needs associated with corporate initiatives where tag and messaging are effective. Participate in the strategic account planning process with Vestcom Commercial team. Oversee and provide direction and guidance on status updates of projects and accomplishments. Communicate with retail locations as needed to insure effective and efficient tag processing. Oversee and manage all tag related changes needed for client’s system. Incumbent may provide guidance or mentorship to the Shopper Marketing Account Coordinator team member(s). Communicate (both verbally and in writing) in a clear, effective and professional manner at all times with all client and Vestcom cross functional partners. Other duties as assigned by management. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required. Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field preferred; three to five years related business experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Previous printing industry experience preferred. Direct priorities and resolve issues to meet client’s high expectations without supervision. Must be proficient in the following computer applications: MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point. Possess excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to lead meetings with client and internal Vestcom departments. Must possess a high service level orientation, outstanding attention to detail, strong sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Must be well-organized and able to perform duties with minimal supervision as this position may work remotely. Must possess a consultative selling background with the ability to strategize at the highest levels within the organization, i.e. CEO, President, COO, etc.
