Material Handler - Union Pacific - North Little Rock, AR
Accountabilities:
Inventory materials and supplies. Receive and store materials, tools and equipment. Fill orders and/or issue equipment, tools and materials to internal customers. Compile records of supply transactions. Verify supplies received match requisitions and invoices. Store and transport supplies and equipment within warehouse; may involve move or transport materials or supplies to other departments using hand or industrial truck. Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications. Required Education, Training, Experience or Skills:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver's license. Applicants must have the ability to effectively and accurately understand, interpret, reference, evaluate, organize, and record non-technical and technical information. Must provide your own transportation. Work is primarily performed inside, however, outside work is required. Union Pacific operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be required to work various shifts, overtime, holidays and weekends The pay rate for this position is set by the union agreement and cannot be individually negotiated. Must have zero work related safety violations in the past two years Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
