SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing the troubleshooting and repair of all control systems components including control panel wiring, hard-wired devices, instrumentation, and I/O devices, controllers, HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and the fabrication, installation, and start-up of a large control system. Position must travel to various locations with approximately 70% of the time away from home and coordinate with vendors and contractors to insure the completion of sub-contracted projects as applied to the control systems.

Other responsibilities include attending print reviews and coordinating with others on their corrections, coordinating with various levels of management on all aspects of control systems, and conducting site surveys for future control systems. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot, modify and repair all types of PLC software, graphic interface software, and network communication, as well as being responsible for all types of communication maintenance, RF, Modbus +, TCP/IP, fiber optic, and RIO. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses.
• Experience: Previous experience in one of the following fields: Electrician, plant maintenance, mechanical technician, PLC programming, apprentice electrician.
• Travel: Approximately 70% of the time away from home.
• Special Skills: Basic hand tools, reading schematics, understanding use of DVOM, mechanical understanding, advanced electrical wiring.
