OK Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its Plant 2 Fort Smith, AR operations.

The Maintenance Manager oversees the work done by maintenance supervisors and their crewmembers. The manager also looks for improvements inside the department and improvements of the equipment or facility to improve production performances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the 1st shift Maintenance operations.
• Completes the labor budget.
• Oversees the Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Oversees maintenance work orders.
• Oversees the boiler.
• Oversees the facility and the equipment inside and outside.
• Oversees projects.
• Oversees contractors.
• Upholds OHSA codes, IIAR codes, and NEC codes.
• Oversees production downtime.
• Oversees the performance of Maintenance supervisors and their crews.
• Oversees the pre-op lockout and tagout program.
• Makes sure that facility drawings are updated.
• Looks for improvements to be made in plant utilities.
• Oversees safety programs.
• Performs and oversees training programs.
• Works with and assists in monitoring the purchase of parts and equipment to maintain the facility
  

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages four subordinate supervisors who supervise 21 hourly employees in Maintenance. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also, directly supervises one non-supervisory employee. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years working in a production environment; poultry preferred.
• Direct experience working in maintenance and refrigeration.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
