Primary Functions:

Under the supervision of the Manager, RFP Pricing, this position is responsible for creating pricing proposals for current and potential customers on all modes of Over the Road (OTR) transportation in an assigned operational region of the domestic market. A high level of data analysis skill using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Tableau is required in the Pricing Analyst position.

Basic Qualifications:

A highly competitive candidate for this role will have a working knowledge base of OTR trucking operations and regional market conditions and will leverage this knowledge into delivering effective pricing solutions to current and prospective customers. To effectively deliver these solutions, extensive knowledge of logistics pricing concepts and methodologies and a high level of proficiency with Excel and Tableau, among other tools is essential for success.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist Manager, RFP Pricing in completing OTR related pricing requests for Sales, Operations and Procurement.
• Collaborate with key sales and operations personnel to help determine pricing strategy on key bids across all modes of transport.
• Utilize high level Microsoft Excel skills, as well as preferred knowledge of Microsoft Access & Tableau to analyze key market rate points across multiple data sources.
• Collaborate with Procurement on qualified RFP's for potential sourcing support.
• Assist in providing lane level benchmark interpretation and analysis to recommend price points on key lanes and speciality solutions such as flatbed, tanker, intermodal and multimodal.
• Gather and analyze bid and pricing request feedback for win/loss ratio tracking.
• Assist in developing and enhancing benchmark data, pricing tools, and processes.
• Assist Logistics Engineer with modeling, developing, and creating multiple supply chain engineering scenarios utilizing optimization tools.
• Maintain pricing request checklist and related weekly reporting.
  

Education/Certifications:

• Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
• Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Highly proficient data analysis and data set manipulation skills using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access is required; proficiency with Tableau is preferred.
