Production Manager

Our client has a challenging opportunity for a Production Manager ready to team up with people who have a passion for providing the finest products in the country. Candidate must be a roll-up your sleeves, self-starter who is committed to ensuring consistent, high quality product manufacturing. This position leads, supervises and coordinates all employees and activity on the production floor while ensuring quality controls and standard operating procedures are followed. The Production Manager communicates all orders from the office to the production team ensuring outgoing orders are filled efficiently, accurately, and on time. An ability to understand food packaging and implement efficient packaging procedures is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Ensure all facility processes, QC, SOP’s, HACCP and system plans are followed Plan and schedule production and shipment of outgoing orders Monitor quality of incoming materials and products Supervise production, job assignments, workstation set-up, sanitation etc. Enforce company safety practices Maintain organization and cleanliness of the facility Assist in the evaluation of current and proposed system procedures Create Standard Operating Procedures, then train and hold people accountable for using them. Make recommendations for corrective actions when there is problems with equipment or in production. Motivate and guide the production team Maintain accurate inventory counts SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
 5-10 years’ experience preferably in manufacturing/packaging industry Strong history in leadership and people management Strong verbal, written and analytical skills The ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management Ability to work independently; self-motivated & self-directed Good mechanical skills Strong time management skills Strong computer skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 Continually required to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs. Able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to push/pull up to 1,500 pounds using supplied equipment.
