Position is responsible for direct supervision and supportive care to program participants; providing health monitoring, crisis intervention, training, supervision and assistance in facilitation of group educational/structured activities. Provides the level of supervision, care, and treatment necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of each participant at the facility, taking into account age, individual differences and abilities, surrounding circumstances, hazards and risks.

Responsible for having basic understanding of participants’ treatment plan, record participants’ behavior and provide safe/supportive treatment environment.

Essential Job Functions:

 Coordinate incoming calls and respond to crisis calls as necessary. Assist and educate consumers in performing daily living and program activities as scheduled or needed. Assists in monitoring general health conditions of participants. Facilitate education or recreation groups as scheduled and assigned. Qualifications:

Experience and Education Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s Degree or some college in a social service related field is preferred with one (1) year of responsible employment. OR
 High School education or equivalent and two (2) years responsible employment history and excellent relationship skills;
Employment Requirements:
 Must provide evidence that incumbent is free of infectious and contagious disease, such as TB, prior to beginning employment and annually thereafter. Free of findings upon completion of the Criminal Record and Child Abuse & Neglect Background check prior to beginning employment. Obtain and Maintain CPR/ First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date. Obtain and Maintain Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention Valid Arkansas Drivers License Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
