Our Fayetteville, AR location is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to play a critical role as part of the Automation Engineering group, optimizing cycle times of existing production programs, coordinating machine service calls and preventative maintenance, responding to CNC alerts, and working with Engineers to roll new products out to production. The CNC Production Technician will utilize CAD and CAM software to create production and tool room programs for CNC milling and turning centers. This position will report to the Automation Engineering Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Utilizes CAD and CAM software to create production and tool room programs for CNC milling and turning centers.
• Interprets 2D mechanical drawings to verify that parts are being produced within tolerance.
• Specifies tooling and works with suppliers to get the right tools for production programs.
• Optimizes cycle times of existing production programs.
• Coordinates machine service calls and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots issues on equipment (as required).
• Responds to CNC Alerts from production (as required).
• Maintains active tooling list.
• Works with Design Engineering, Automation Engineering, and Product Development to roll new products out to production.
• Documents processes for operators and setup personnel.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree in CNC programming, a computer-related field, or a mechanical field plus a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience, preferred, or an equivalent combination of related work experience and education.
• Minimum of 3+ years utilizing CAM software, preferred.
• Ability to independently design, program, and prove manufacturing process for machined parts using CNC and wire EDM equipment.
• Experience with programming / ESPRIT software knowledge, a plus.
• Experience with programming / HAAS VMCs, Sodic wire EDMs, and Swiss-style lathes, a plus.
• Must be well organized in storing and retrieving programs.
• Certification from accredited technical school, strongly preferred.
