Frmc - Phlebotomist - Lab Asst - Saint Bernards Medical Center (Arkansas)

+ JOB REQUIREMENTS

+ Education

+ High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomist certificate preferred.

+ Experience

+ On-the-job training under direct supervision of qualified technicians, technologists, or peer trainers with certification by successful completion of training checklist. The more technical aspects are underlined and require the demonstrated ability to perform as a phlebotomy laboratory assistant in a clinical laboratory. There is a minimum of two years experience for technical aspects and on-the-job training under direct supervision of the technical specialist and/or shift coordinator.

+ Occasional sitting, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs. Carrying 50 lbs or more. Continuous standing. Must be able to see with corrective eye wear. Must be able to hear clearly with assistance. Ability to use the following equipment: Centrifuges Phlebotomy, HMS Lab Monitor, Keyboard and Monitor. Sofia instrument for waived testing, plating specimens in Microbiology .

+ JOB SUMMARY

+ Under the general supervision of an MT or MLT provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care. Safely transport specimens to and from the hospital.
