Payroll Clerk - Robert Half Accountemps (Arkansas)
Description Accountemps is looking to fill an open Payroll Clerk position for a growing company who will support the Payroll department in a variety of duties. This role is based in the Little Rock, Arkansas region. This challenging position calls for a candidate with a strong sense of initiative looking to advance their career path and work alongside an industry leader. The company is looking for a candidate to join their dynamic, fast-growing team who can effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's duties will include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The selected Payroll Clerk candidate would be employed on a long-term temporary-to-full-time basis.

- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
- Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
- Enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Administer and distribute reports as instructed
- Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals
- Build and run custom reports Requirements - Payroll experience desired
- Strong familiarity with numeric data entry
- Data entry experience required
- Prior Payroll software experience preferred
- Previous payroll experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
- Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
- Excellent data entry skills
- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
