Beacon Care Services is excited to partner with Walmart on the launch of the first-ever Walmart Health centers. We will be part of an interdisciplinary practice including primary care and other health services, working together to deliver high quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare to consumers. Our services will include individual, couples, family, and group counseling to address mild to moderate mental health issues.

Work Hours: Wed 9:30 am - 7:30 pm / Sat 9 am - 3 pm / Sun 12 pm - 5 pm

Part Time (20 hours)

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing general psychological care and treatment to patients in the Walmart Health Center facility.

What does a typical day look like?

+ Performs mental status examinations, therapy, and preventive health measures.

+ Reviews psychological diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.

+ Records physical findings, and formulates a plan and prognosis, based on the patient’s condition.

+ Discusses case with the Physician and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan.

+ Submits the health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by the Physician.

+ Administers or recommends individual therapy or other forms of treatment.

+ Refers patients to the Physician for consultation or specialized health resources for treatment.

Qualifications

What you contribute?

+ Requires an MS in Social Work, MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a PhD in Psychology; 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

+ Current State of Arkansas license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist in applicable state(s) required.
