Summary of Position:

Individual is responsible for assisting in the drafting/design process of material handling systems, related equipment and original fabrication designs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Produce reliable and accurate field sketches and as-built drawings
Produce drawings making necessary changes in an efficient, accurate and timely manner
Troubleshoot fabrication issues on shop floor
Assists with any other duties as assigned by the engineering supervisor or director

Required Skills & Experience

Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience with AutoCAD 2D software
Must have AutoCAD 2004 and up experience
1-2 years experience in Drafting/Design (Mechanical or Civil)
Knowledge of relevant computer applications
Must have excellent organization, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills
Attention to detail and accuracy a must
Must be able to adhere to confidentiality
Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines, with frequent mandatory overtime
Flexibility and adaptability is a must
Ability to “Nest” metal a plus
