At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Scrum Master supporting CMS, a typical day will include:

+ Coaching and mentoring the team in Agile values, principles, and practices

+ Facilitating the Agile ceremonies, such as daily Scrum, planning, retrospectives, and reviews

+ Coaching a continuous improvement mindset and recommend adjustments to established delivery practices

+ Acting as a servant leader and aiding with the resolution of blocking impediments

+ Identifying differences in understanding issues as they occur; working with the team to problem-solve or escalate to management if needed

+ Utilizing tools and reports, such as JIRA and Confluence, to collect, develop and analyze Agile data and metrics, managing progress on a daily basis

+ Facilitating communication among Scrum teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.

+ Active SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification

+ Experience as a Scrum Master within a software development environment

+ Experience with software DevSecOps/DevOps pipeline processes and tools

+ Experience using JIRA and Confluence

+ Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ US citizen or a Green Card holder

+ Health Care Industry and/or CMS experience

+ Experience on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)

+ Well versed in a variety of Agile approaches (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)

+ Some knowledge of development environments, platforms, and technologies including: Java, JavaScript/JQuery, general web development, cloud technology, Salesforce, and MuleSoft

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences

+ Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority

+ Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment
