Extended Operations Representative - 2nd Shift - Maverick Transportation, LLC - North Little Rock, AR
Assisting in the after-hours supervision of all business units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Control costs by following established guidelines and promptness of: swaps, out of routes, T-Calls, and re-powers.
2. Assist and participate in the creation of department action plans that support the company's strategic business plan.
3. Establish, modify, document, and coordinate job documentation or areas managed. Manage, maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts. Support and enforce operational and personnel policies, company programs, and procedures.
4. Assist Drivers after hours.
5. Work truck conditions to ensure on time deliveries.
6. Manage truck and trailer breakdowns.
7. Monitor TC trailer alerts and react as necessary to reduce the liability of a claim.
8. Re-power loads if necessary.
9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
10. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
11. Ensures company confidentiality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
4 years of Transportation experience or 2 years supervisory experience in Operations and/or Driver Management OR BS in Transportation or Business related field.
