GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for working closely with both Operations and Logistics to become familiar with and learn about these departments and the company, as well as, the procedures listed below with the goal of being able to successfully complete the program and move into a permanent supply chain position, for example an Extended Services Representative, Fleet Manager, Area Logistics Manager or Dedicated Account Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Works closely with Operations Department to learn how to manage, assign, monitoring and direct Drivers in their duties.

2. Works closely with the Logistics team to provide customer service support in the execution of daily transportation activities for our customers.

3. Works closely with the Dedicated Operations team to ensure optimum utilization of company assets while meeting the daily needs of the customer.

4. Learn how to control costs by following established guidelines and promptness of: swaps, out of routes, T-Calls, and repowers. Generate accurate weekend pay report.

5. Communicate effectively and build professional relationships with customers, Drivers, employees and all levels of management.

6. Learn and become responsible for completing all necessary customer specific tasks.

7. Responsible for creating and maintaining job documentation where applicable.

8. Assist and participate in the creation of department action plans that support the company's strategic business plan.

9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

10. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.

11. Ensures company confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics or other Business related fields.
