Georgia-Pacific’s Dixie® Consumer Operations division is hiring for a Manufacturing Performance Leader-Pressware Capability Manager for their plate manufacturing operation in Fort Smith, AR.

The Manufacturing Performance Leader-Pressware Capability Manager will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to implement new technology, while leading and developing teams in adaptive work systems (AWS) and to become self-directed.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


Manage the pressware/converting operation, supervising up to 12 employees between four (4) crews Develop a Market-Based Management® culture which empowers employees to address unsafe conditions and behaviors and to participate and make suggestions for improvement Be a change agent and lead team members toward excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance and actively promote safety activities Identify safety gaps and self-initiate corrective actions Demonstrate leadership with your team to achieve and maintain compliance with respect to the facility’s and GP Safety Compliance Standards Interface with Plant Leadership Team to increase capacity, improve safety and sustain operations Develop on-shift capabilities (front-line leaders)

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

Associates degree or higher OR five (5) years of manufacturing experience Experience developing capability of a team, e.g.; coaching employees and conducting performance reviews Experience using Microsoft Office tools Experience leading and managing a team Experience using written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within an organization Experience identifying, evaluating, prioritizing and implementing projects

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:


A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in converting Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, or Flexographic Printing Experience training new employees on machinery Experience with application of lean manufacturing tools and principles
