Supply Chain Intern
The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for several supply chain projects within the Marshalltown Purchasing Department and will report to the Director of Purchasing.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist purchasing department in executing process improvements to purchase order placement, receiving, and inventory management Work with distribution center management to optimize supply chain logistics expenses for inbound freight Optimize order settings to minimize supply chain cost for domestic vendors Use excel skills to develop KPI dashboards for Purchasing metrics Work with key vendors to develop or improve supply chain for key products Work with Accounting, Engineering, Operations, and Shipping departments to improve key supply chain processesMinimum Requirements:
Must be actively pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field Advanced excel skills Ability to communicate effectively with management and employees Reliable transportation Availability to work a minimum 40 hours per week during the summerMARSHALLTOWN is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
