Individual must have at least 2 years of experience working on tractors such as Massey Ferguson, LS, New Holland, John Deere, Kubota, Case IH etc. From clutch repairs to engine overhauls including electronics etc. Proof of previous farm tractor repair experience is necessary.

Applicants must be professional, friendly, and have experience as a diesel or tractor mechanic.
The general tractor mechanic conducts general farm repairs on a variety of agricultural implements, machinery, and vehicles. These general farm repairs require the ability to weld and utilize a variety of tools as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Must be capable of coming up with solutions to problems on the fly and must be capable of working with little to no supervision.

Must be hard working, punctual, and honest.

The position is based out of the company shop located in Cabot, AR but may be required to travel to various customer locations in surrounding counties when needed. Company vehicle provided.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

Uphold the Company’s safety commitment & requirements Perform repairs with limited departmental supervision Fix tractors and other farming implements & machinery Determine overall condition of machines through inspections and provide maintenance Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems Restore equipment to working order through component replacement and/or repair Exhibit positive and effective communication and interaction with other associates, vendors, and customers Work overtime as required by workload and customer need Operate vehicles, heavy equipment, implements, & misc. machinery safely between work areas Follow directions as given; follow company policies and procedures Participate in safety and/or educational training as required Perform work area and equipment safety inspections Fill out company paperwork regarding repairs and inspections
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to: mechanic shop supervisor

Physical Requirements:

Pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic retests Be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned Must be able to lift 100 lbs. unassisted Must be capable of kneeling, bending, stooping, and standing for prolonged periods of time while performing maintenance duties.
Benefits after 1 full year of employment:1 week paid vacation (40 hours) 6 Holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day) 4 Personal Days 1 Company Day (Day after Thanksgiving)

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
Saturdays when shop is open 8am – 12pm
