Risk Management Analyst - ArcBest (Arkansas)
General Description of Duties:
The Risk Management Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing and managing risk management issues by identifying, measuring, and making decisions on operational or enterprise risks for an organization.
The major activities of this position will include, but not be limited to:
* Documenting and ensuring communication of key risks.
* Maintaining input or data quality of risk management systems.
* Gathering risk-related data from internal or external resources.
* Developing or implementing risk-assessment models or methodologies.
* Producing reports or presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, or recommend changes.
* Planning and contributing to development of risk management systems.
* Conducting statistical analyses to quantify risk using statistical analysis software or econometric models.
* Providing statistical modeling advice to other departments.
* Maintaining input and data quality of risk management systems.
* Recommending ways to control or reduce risk.
Other Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred for this position as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, database system query, PowerPoint, and Word. Risk Management and/or insurance industry experience is also preferred.
Problem solving and conceptual thinking skills, as well as presentation skills and strong verbal and written skills are necessary for success in this position.
